One of the biggest barriers facing those in early recovery from addiction is the difficulty obtaining medical and mental health care. These are necessary to help manage the many slow-to-resolve symptoms and discomforts associated with lingering withdrawal and raw emotions. The complexity and fragmentation of our current medical system often leaves patients without prompt attention for their needs after they leave inpatient treatment. The discomfort and mounting frustration can trigger cravings that may often lead a person to relapse. We believe that the model of an Addiction Healthcare Home can centralize and simplify access to quality healthcare for patients in recovery.
