Therapy That Goes
Beyond Symptoms
Healing from substance use, trauma, or mental health struggles requires more than medication. InSight’s licensed counselors provide evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy in a safe, confidential environment, designed to help you understand the patterns underneath the problem and build skills that last.
Our counselors work directly alongside our medical and psychiatric providers, so your therapy is never disconnected from the rest of your care. That integration makes a real difference in outcomes.
-
Individual Therapy
One-on-one sessions with a licensed counselor focused on your specific history, goals, and challenges. Modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed approaches. -
Group Therapy
Structured, facilitated group sessions that reduce isolation, build peer accountability, and develop practical coping skills in a community of people with shared experiences. -
Family Counseling
Addiction and mental illness affect the entire family system. Our family sessions help restore communication, set healthy boundaries, and rebuild trust in a guided, therapeutic setting. -
Co-occurring Disorder Counseling
Specialized support for patients managing both substance use and mental health conditions simultaneously, our counselors are trained to address both, not one at a time. -
Trauma-Informed Care
Many people need to heal from unresolved trauma. Our counselors approach every session with awareness of trauma's role, creating a setting where you feel safe enough to do the real work.
Setting the Record Straight
Outpatient Medical Care
Completes the Whole Picture
Misunderstandings about Medication-Assisted Treatment is one of the biggest barriers to people seeking the help they need. Here is the truth.
Hepatitis C Treatment
curative outpatient care
Hepatitis C is one of the most common blood-borne infections among people with a history of injection drug use, and it is now highly curable. Modern direct-acting antiviral (DAA) therapy achieves cure rates above 95% in most patients, with treatment courses as short as 8 to 12 weeks and minimal side effects.
At InSight, we manage Hepatitis C treatment as part of our integrated outpatient model. You don’t need to travel to a separate specialist or navigate a fragmented referral system. We handle screening, lab work, prescribing, and monitoring, all in the same practice where you receive your addiction medicine care.
-
Screening & Diagnosis
Blood testing, genotyping, and liver health assessment to stage your infection and confirm the right treatment regimen. -
Direct-Acting Antiviral Therapy
FDA-approved medications including Harvoni, Epclusa, and Mavyret, taken orally once daily, most with no interferon injections required. -
Treatment Monitoring
Regular lab checks during and after treatment to confirm viral suppression and confirm sustained virologic response (SVR), clinical cure. -
Insurance & Patient Assistance
We navigate coverage for DAA medications and connect patients to pharmaceutical assistance programs when needed.
Low Testosterone Treatment
Hormone Evaluation & Management
Prolonged opioid use, alcohol dependence, and other substance use disorders can significantly suppress the body’s natural testosterone production, leading to fatigue, depression, low libido, cognitive fog, and difficulty maintaining recovery motivation. These symptoms are not just “part of getting sober.” They are often clinically treatable.
InSight offers comprehensive Low Testosterone (Low T) evaluation and treatment for men whose hormonal function has been disrupted by substance use or other related causes. Restoring healthy testosterone levels can meaningfully improve energy, mood, and quality of life, supporting the broader goals of recovery and wellness.
-
Comprehensive Hormone Panel
Lab testing of total and free testosterone, LH, FSH, SHBG, and related markers to establish an accurate baseline and identify the cause of deficiency. -
Testosterone Replacement Therapy
Individualized TRT using the safest, most appropriate delivery method for each patient, injectable, topical gel, or other formulations. -
Ongoing Monitoring
Regular lab work and follow-up to optimize levels, monitor for side effects, and adjust therapy as your clinical picture evolves. -
Integrated with Recovery Care
TRT is coordinated with your MAT or psychiatric providers to ensure hormonal treatment supports, not complicates, your broader recovery plan.
Telehealth Services
Quality Care,
Wherever You Are
Accessing quality mental health and addiction care shouldn’t require you to take a full day off work or drive an hour each way. InSight offers HIPAA-compliant telehealth services that allow you to meet with your provider from the privacy of your home, office, or anywhere you feel comfortable.
Telehealth at InSight is not a lesser version of care, it’s the same providers, the same clinical standards, and the same commitment to your health. For many patients managing busy schedules, transportation barriers, or concerns about privacy, virtual appointments significantly improve their ability to stay engaged in treatment.
-
Medication Management Follow-ups
Ongoing medication management appointments conducted via secure video, no need to come in for every visit. (Note: MAT program usually requires in-person participation for new patients.) -
Individual Counseling
Licensed counselors available for individual therapy sessions via telehealth, with the same therapeutic quality as in-person sessions. -
Statewide Reach
We serve patients throughout Middle Tennessee, including those in rural areas or communities with limited local mental health infrastructure. -
Easy to Access
No special software required. Appointments are conducted through a simple, secure video platform. Our team will walk you through setup before your first visit.
HIPPA-Compliant
All virtual appointments use a fully encrypted, HIPAA-compliant platform. Your privacy is protected at every step.
Works on Any Device
Connect via smartphone, tablet, or computer, whichever is most convenient for you.
Insurance Accepted
Most insurance plans cover telehealth visits the same as in-person care. We verify benefits before your first appointment.
Assessments & Interventions
Clinical Evaluations That
Inform the Right Care
A proper clinical assessment is the foundation of effective treatment. InSight provides a range of diagnostic and evaluative services, for individuals seeking care, for families concerned about a loved one, and for legal or occupational referrals requiring professional evaluation.
Substance Use Evaluation
A structured clinical assessment to determine the presence, severity, and nature of a substance use disorder. Conducted by a licensed clinician, this evaluation produces a documented report that can guide treatment planning, satisfy legal or court requirements, or inform a referral to the appropriate level of care. Standardized screening tools (AUDIT, DAST, etc.) are used alongside a thorough clinical interview.
ASAM Criteria · Level of Care Determination
Mental Health Evaluation
A comprehensive psychiatric and psychological assessment to clarify diagnostic impressions, identify co-occurring conditions, and establish a clinical baseline for treatment planning. These evaluations are appropriate for patients entering care who have complex or unclear presentations, and for situations requiring independent clinical documentation of mental health status.
Diagnostic Clarity · Treatment Planning Support
DOT / SAP Evaluations
InSight provides Department of Transportation (DOT)-compliant Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) evaluations for employees in safety-sensitive transportation roles who have violated DOT drug or alcohol regulations. Our SAP evaluators are qualified under 49 CFR Part 40 and guide employees through the required return-to-duty process with proper documentation and follow-up recommendations. [Note: SAP evaluations currently not available, call us or check back soon for availability.]
SAP Certified · Return-to-Duty Process
Family Intervention Services
Structured, professionally guided intervention services for families seeking to help a loved one recognize the need for treatment and take the step toward care. Our clinicians work with family members before, during, and after the intervention, providing education, emotional support, and clinical expertise to make the process as effective and compassionate as possible.
ARISE Model · Family-Centered Approach
Court, probation, and employer referrals are welcome. We understand the time-sensitive nature of many referrals and work to schedule evaluations promptly. Call us at (615) 326-9918 and our team will walk you through the process.
Our Care Process
What to Expect at InSight
Whether you’re coming in for counseling, a medical evaluation, or a clinical assessment, getting started at InSight is straightforward. Here’s what the process looks like, from first contact to ongoing care.
1. Contact Us
Call or submit our online form. Our front desk team will ask a few brief questions to understand what you need and get you scheduled, often the same day or within 24 hours.
2. Initial Evaluation
Your first appointment is a comprehensive clinical evaluation with the appropriate provider, counselor, medical provider, or psychiatrist, to understand your full picture and establish the right starting point for care.
3. Personalized Plan
Based on your evaluation, we develop a care plan specific to your needs and goals, often incorporating services from multiple InSight providers working in coordination. You know exactly what the plan is and why.
4. Ongoing Support
Regular follow-up appointments allow your team to monitor your progress, adjust as needed, and continue building on what’s working. Your plan evolves with you, not against you.
The InSight Difference
Why Choose InSight for Your Care?
Most practices treat one condition at a time. InSight was built to do something different, bringing medical, psychiatric, and counseling care together so that the gaps that undermine recovery never get the chance to open.
-
Fully integrated care, all under one roof
Your counselor, prescribing provider, and medical team communicate directly. No fragmented records, no repeated intake processes, no slipping through the cracks between disconnected systems. -
Same-day and same-week access
When someone is ready to engage with care, waiting weeks for an appointment is not an option. We work hard to see new patients quickly, often the same day you call. -
Flexible access, in-person and telehealth
Life doesn't always accommodate office hours. We offer telehealth for most services so that geography, transportation, or work schedules don't become barriers to consistent care. -
Clinicians who specialize in addiction and recovery
Our entire team, medical, psychiatric, and counseling, has expertise in substance use and co-occurring disorders. This isn't a general practice that sees the occasional addiction patient. It's the only thing we do. -
Judgment-free from the first call
Every patient who contacts InSight is met with respect and compassion, regardless of history, how many times they've tried before, or what they're dealing with. That's not a policy. It's who we are. -
Most insurance accepted · TennCare · Self-pay options
We accept most major commercial plans and TennCare/Medicaid, and work to verify your benefits before your first appointment so there are no surprises. Self-pay pricing is available for uninsured patients.
